Fontana-Ontario physicians searching for personal wellness found it by tapping into their passion for music. Their band, Medicus, is a newly formed group created after a call for talented musicians to perform at the 2015 Physician Wellness Offsite. In this video, band members discuss how music contributes to their wellness.

Band Members: Roger Batin (Family Medicine, Redlands MOB), Brian Bautista (Family Medicine, Redlands MOB), Lien Pham (Family Medicine, Redlands MOB), Malrie Brown (Family Medicine, Fontana), Steve Lee (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Fontana)

Prior to the offsite, each doctor shared his/her passion for music through church and their own independent bands. In addition, in 2011 Drs. Batin and Brown shared a recording. In 2013, Drs. Batin, Bautista, and Pham performed at an MOB holiday party. Drs. Pham and Batin also perform and record music together in various forums.

The stars aligned in mid-October 2015 and Medicus performed at the Fontana-Ontario Physician Wellness Offsite; bringing joy and reflection to about 700 physicians. Check out the other videos to hear their performance!
